How to reach?
By Air/Train : You can take flight or train from your place to either Chandigarh or Delhi airport/station. After your arrival to Chandigarh or Delhi you can book bus either at Bus stop or Online to Manali. Many tour operators will provide you SUMO, TRAVELLER TEMPO etc , so you can book that also and can reach Manali there by enjoying local sight seeing.
By Bus : You can take bus from Chandigarh or Delhi bus terminus just like above. From bus it takes 5-6 hours to reach Manali bus terminus. Bus will stop near resturant to let you have your lunch or dinner. Bus seat price ranges from 500 and above depending on the facility or type of bus you are booking.
By Car : You can also drive to manali with the help of google map or book one from tour operator.
DAY 1 : At morning 9 a.m , Start your journey from Chandigarh or Delhi by local sight seeing and reach Manali hotel by evening. Freshen up and go to visit mall road. Eat momos and maggie or anythiong you like their. But momos and maggie are famous, do shopping, visit nearby temple and get back to hotel have your dinner.
DAY 2 : After having breakfast set out for Naggar Castle (for an entry fee of Rs 30, Vashisht temple. Dont forget to take hot water bath in Vashisht temple. Go and see local festivals or show. They charge some amount to see the their traditional show. Have your lunch and dinner on the way and get to your hotel.
DAY 3 : Visit Hidimba Temple , Ghatorkach temple(3-5 mins of walking from Hidimba temple) and after having breakfast on the way, for an adventure trip must do a trek to Jogini Falls. Go by walk rather than hiring a cab. But it is suggested that manage your conveyance according to the distance from your hotel.
DAY 4 : Never plan for Solang valley on the day of your returning. I am telling you with my personal experience. We did the same and cant enjoy the beauty, coldness of solang valley. Always give 1 full day to visit solang valley. Alot of adventure sport you can enjoy there.
Day 5 : Check out from hotel at morning. Drive to Kullu and enjoy the ride of River Rafting . If you have a group of 8-9 people then by inisting/bargaining they will charge you 800-1000/head. Drive back to Manali bus terminus till evening or your guide will assist you. Book your tickets online or at the terminus. After arriving Chandigarh or Delhi , reach your homeland by train or flight.
Hotel Where I stayed?
Each room costs Rs 600 and 3 people are allowed in each room. The hotel was 'V Cottage' . They also provide you food at costs.The hotel owner also provide you Bike and car facilities. It was a clean and best budgeted hotel I had stayed till now. V Cottage(old manali) is near by the Hidimba Temple, The conveyance charges for sight seeing starts from 1500 and above depending on the number of people and days. They will also provide you Bon fire at costs. People can also do Skiing(costs 150-500/head) near that hotel. So overall I will give 4 star according to the view, location and cleanliness and of course at that low cost. The below one is view from hotel.
Minimum cost for Manali trip: 5000 and above depending on the hotel you are staying in and no. of persons you are going with.
